Bohrium (Eka-Rhenium) occurs as chemical element in the periodic table that has the symbol Bh & atomic number 107. These are the synthetic element whose most stable isotope, Bh-262, has a half-life of 102 ms.
History
It was synthesized in 1976 by a Soviet team led by Y. Oganessian at a Joint Institute for Nuclear Locate at Dubna, who produced isotope 261Bh by owning the half-life of One-Two ms (late information give the half life of as much as Decade ms).
It did this by bombarding bismuth-204 with heavily nuclei of chromium-54.
Around 1981 a German research team led by P. Armbruster & G. Münzenberg at a Gesellschaft für Schwerionenforschung (Institute for Heavy Ion a food and drug administration) at Darmstadt were likewise take a breath to confirm the Soviet team's final result & garden truck atomic number 107, this period a elongated-lived Bh-262.
A Germans suggested a title nielsbohrium to honor a Danish physicist Niels Bohr. A Soviets got suggested this title become given to db (dubnium).
There was an element naming controversy as to what the elements from either 101 to 109 were to become known as; so IUPAC adopted unnilseptium (symbol Uns) as a temporary, systematic element name for this element. Inside 1994 a committee of IUPAC recommended that element 107 become known as bh.
When this conforms to a list of more elements honoring souls, in which merely the cognomen is taken, it was opposed by numbers of world health organization were caring that it can be confused by owning boron. Despite this, a title bh for atomic number 107 was recognized internationally around 1997.
